About Rotations

In Residency Partner™, rotations are much more than a simple schedule of where residents are supposed to be. Rotations are an integral part of how resident information is collected, organized and reported in Residency Partner.

How Rotations are Used in Scheduling

Scheduling a resident's rotations is simple, and can be done by  selecting which rotations a resident will be doing during a particular rotation block. You will know where everyone is, and at a glance, be able to see who they are working with. It is possible to schedule all rotations for an entire residency at once.

When a resident views their duty hours schedule, they will see their rotations on the calendar, making it easier for them to enter their hours.

How Rotations are Used in Evaluations

Rotations are used in Evaluations to make it easy to find evaluators and evaluatees. Evaluations can be generated based on rotations, so that only those residents on a particular rotation are evaluated. It is possible to select only those residents who have worked with a particular attending on a rotation.

Often evaluations for several different rotations will be very similar except for specific questions about the rotations. Within an evaluation, you can create rotation-specific questions. You can combine evaluations with similar questions, and only show rotation-specific questions to those that need to answer them.

Rotations and Reports

One of Residency Partner's great features is the many reports that it can generate. Of course, there are many combinations of reports about rotations but Residency Partner also provides the ability to drill down to an individual rotation on many of it's generated reports.
